Thanks for your offer, i'm using "my" skin, that crystal thing, based on
info/noia, with a resolution of 800x600 and nothing set for overscan.

The difference between the cover-area and the area the vis is using is very
noticeable, it's not just some pixels ...

The settings are in fact from the skin already. As far as I remember I use
the same algorithm as the skincode to calculate the position, but ofcourse I
may have overlooked something.

Another reason for it to look larger is the scaling of images preserves
aspect-ratio, and will therefore not always cover the entire area.

However, if there is large differences between the two  - please send me
your overscan and resolution settings and I will take a look at it when my
dev-machine is up and running.
