Following my habit of answering to my own messages, I want to tell everyone
that I just had several feelings of success:
- - I made Freevo from CVS work (I hate installing docbook stuff..)
- - I found out why selecting programs in the guide for scheduling made the
scheduled programs always be twelve ours too early (guess what? had to set
TV_DATETIMEFORMAT; the default did neither show 24h numbers nor any "PM"..)
- - The best thing is, recording finally works! The problem was that I do not
run Freevo as root, but I ran the recordserver as root, and it thus missed
my ~/.freevo/local_conf.py.. :-)
Now I guess I can answer my timeshift-question too: Am I right that the
features I missed are available by recording only?
