Rememeber to change all & in the url to & because of xml
parsing. If it doesn't work, send me the url to try.

You need Freevo 1.5-rcX to do that.

I have Freevo 1.5rc2 and I would love to try different combinations of FXD files, but I'm not configured properly, because it isn't picking up any FXD's at all!

- DIR_MOVIES doesn't seem to do anything at all for me. This is
 ok, because VIDEO_ITEMS is working fine.

VIDEO_ITEMS = [ ('Movies', '/home/dermot/mpeg_streams'),
('Kasenna Streams', '/home/dermot/mpeg_streams/kasenna.fxd') ]

- Setting VIDEO_ITEMS as above, I see a 'Movies' option and the
 CD and DVD drive, but not 'Kasenna Streams'. Any idea why?

- Next problem is that when playing an mpeg2-ts file with mplayer
 from this Movies directory, mplayer does not start in fullscreen,
 and when I escape to finish playback, freevo is not in fullscreen
 mode anymore.

 CONFIG_VERSION = 5.09
 DEBUG = 2
 CHILDAPP_DEBUG=1
 START_FULLSCREEN_X = 1

CommandLine: '-fs' '-slave' '-ao' 'oss:/dev/dsp' '-v' '-vo' 'xv,sdl,x11,' '-cache' '5000' '//home/dermot/mpeg_streams/kasenna_samples/sync_4.5Mbps_MPEG2-FullD1.mpg' '-vf' 'pp=de'

I have a doc about fxd files here. I need to proof read it again and
will add it Docs later.

That would be great.

Is there an irc channel that the developers use?

irc.gnu.org -> #freevo

But right now we are very busy with our real jobs. Just ask there,
maybe someone can help you.

I've asked and you helped me with MPLAYER_VERSION, but you were busy helping other people with alsa problems and so didn't have time to answer my questions about fxd's or fullscreen.

Thanks in advance. I'm very impressed with Freevo. You've
done an excellent job in just two years.

Thanks.

I'm still impressed :) but can see that supporting users with the limited time available is not easy.

All I can do is promise that once I get up and running that I
will stay around a little while to answer questions from even
newer freevo newbies.
