Yes. If you move generic_record to ChildApp2, I will merge ChildApp2 into ChildApp. The old ChildApp is very bad.
Ok I will do that right away, then...
But generic_record may want to use the twisted process handing code. You don't need stdout and stdin, so maybe don't use ChildApp(2) at all and we can also remove the bad hack with the childapp-start-me event.
I will take a closer look at the twisted process stuff. At first glance it did look nice and I think it also takes care of stdin/out.
