Why Not add 2 new list or structs (is that word) to be executed by recordserver pre & post recording?
That exists already, VCR_PRE_REC and VCR_POST_REC, which can each point to a command or script to be executed at the beginning or after recording.
That way users can have recorserver do all the work?
All the work transcoding?
