Great. Ok, I have recordserver working once more on my end. Also the recording plugins are now real daemon plugins and get polled by the recordserver (NO threading), and can handle events. I still need to do some more work on this and I'll check it in later today.

descussed in a different thread, the VideoGroups are now gone and
replaced by the code in channels.py. Right now only dvb is working,
maybe someone else can extend the code keeping me more time for other

Ok, I'll take a look at tv/ivtv support. I'm having problems (as we talked about) coordinating different devices and properties but I'll hook it up like we talked about. Also we are now missing v4l2 channel changing hooks (formerly tunerSetFreq() in channels.py), I guess we can talk about where to do that now (channels.py or extending a player?). I don't think extending a player is the best way to go because this code must be used by the recording plugins as well.

problems. The player also need an update. Only xine with dvb is
working now. Look in the xine code to see how to update a player. BTW,

If I'm successful with the recordserver this weekend I'll take a look at tv.mplayer but someone can beat me to it if they'd like. :)

the epg files are gone, we now use pyepg from the lib dir. But only
channels.py should access this, everything else should access the epg
through channels.py.

Ok, I'll take a look at how to to that.
