I found the problem with the IOError; I installed imlib2-1.2.1.003 and
imlib2_loaders-1.2.1.003. I believe I had imlib2-1.2.6 before; maybe it
was too new or something. I still get the scrambled screen (with no
errors) but it does work in SDL mode except when I play a video through
mplayer. When I use 1.5.3, mplayer works fine but when using Freevo 2.0,
I get a scrambled screen (like the menu while using GUI_DISPLAY='dfb').
I believe it has something to do with the new mevas system Freevo uses
but that's just a guess.
