Ah. /me underlines a forgotten mental note that mmpython => kaa.metadata
Indeed the menu shows "Disc [NEU]" now, and I checked
<freevo-cvs>/site-packages/bin/mminfo /dev/dvd which displays the same
information that I posted from mmpython the last time.
However, when selecting the menu item, I am still presented the four items
"Ext", "Svcd", "Segment", and "Mpeg2".
