I'd be inclined to ask more details about your requirements, but there's a fair chance something like pygtk would work nicely for whatever you wanted. I might otherwise also recommend kaa.canvas, although it has a few dependencies, and if you just want to hack together something quick-and-dirty with minimal fuss, pygtk should do the trick.
