Actually, it's a bit of a pity - I have setup current Freevo trunk in parallel
for development / evaluation purposes, but I do not dare to make it the
default, fearing that the WAF sinks. (You know, the "women acceptance
factor".) It may be acceptable if *something* does not work, where
"something" is in [rotation_of_images, synchronization_with_computers, ....]
but watching TV, recording (with nvram-wakeup), watching movies and listening
to music must *always* work more or less flawlessly, or I am in trouble.
(This may be more due to my own ego not accepting that my wife suffers from
any of our computers state, which could put my computer skills in a bad
light.. ;-) )
The second big reason is/was that I depend on ivtv support, which had been
missing (and not 100% trivial to implement with my limited knowledge of the
new Freevo architecture). Right now, I am not sure how to set it up,
although it should work IIRC. freevo-tvdev gives me:
