What do you mean: 1) That an old version of xine bails out, and if so in which version was it fixed. 2) Current version of xine bail out, in which I think that this is a bug in xine and should be reported there.
If you consider this a bug in freevo then please add it as a bug, mind you I can't see how freevo can determine which flags xine has been compiled with.
