Summary: Two consecutive recordings the second is not recorded

Initial Comment:
Two consecutive scheduled recordings the second is not
always recorded.

Has anybody else noticed this and could it be to do
with the PRE and POST padding times?

If you can find it it would be good to get into the release,
only happens on the faster machine, the old P3 works fine
and it only happens intermittently, so a race condition
sounds reasonable.

Trouble is trying to work out which functions are called
asynchronously.

Using IVTV too.

i had this problem a few times a while ago, i think with an
early 1.5 version.

i came to the conclusion that there is a race condition in
the recordserver loop. it takes a little too long to stop
the 1st recording and when the second one is started before
the input (using ivtv btw) was closed it did not work. i
"fixed" it with a sleep or an extra semaphore or something
the like.

but i dont even know if i have that hack in there now, since
i haven't had any consecutive recordings in a while now.
