Summary: No video display since 1.6 with X

Hi,
First of all, I would like to say that I use freevo for a long time. I actually
use the 1.5.3 release (with lot of local patches I applied).
I quickly tested freevo 1.6 this week-end (and also 1.7 from svn) without any
patches or addons. With these two release, I encountered the same problem: I do
not see video (played with mplayer). I can hear the sound, but I don't see
anything (black screen). All is working well with my 1.5.3 install.
I also noticed that if I disable ENABLE_FULLSCREN_X, it works again (I can see
the video) but I have got the windows manager title bar... I use freevo under X
(to be able to use others X applications). Did anybody encountered the same
problem ?

Right, the problem was a problem with the X config (I don't understand
exactly why for the moment, but it works ;).
What is strange is that with the same Xconfig and mplayer version and same
freevo config, it works with freevo 1.5.3 and not with 1.6.0 or greater...

The only thing that I can think of is your geometry setting, why do you
use 808x606 instead of 800x600?
What is the screen geometry in your xorg/xfree86 config file?
You should have a mplayer_stdout.log and mplayer_stderr.log in /tmp, you
should check these. It doesn't look like a freevo problem as mplayer has
been started, you may see more information that will reveal the problem in
these two files.

What setting have you got for display in /etc/freevo/freevo.conf?
I suspect that the problem is to do with this setting. Can you post the
command that is executed, should be in the log when DEBUG=1 or
CHILDAPP_DEBUG=1 are set in your local_conf.py.
