There is a plugin called mbus.py in freevo. It reacts on start and stop commands and sends the status (playing, idle, etc.) to other entities on the bus watching. The plugin is used for basic control. Unlike a simple input plugin you should not send up and down to mbus but use high level commands like start and stop. Dischi -- May brute force be with you.
