We are looking for a very basic webserver for freevo. No mysql database, no apache running, just simple cherrpypy + sqlite maybe if needed. I want to grand guests access to parts of my media files, want to schedule recordings and start/stop playback inside freevo. The interface should be use some eye candy (AJAX comes to mind) and should work both on a normal pc and still good looking on smaller devices like the Nokia 700 (IIRC 800x460 pixel). You need - Python experience (or you learn it, if you know other languages it is easy to learn) - HTML and CSS should be in your blood (this is missing for me) - Some idea about design (use snapshots / screenshots and the mailing list to ask what other people think) - fun to do this. If you like, register at Google to be part of the Google Summer of Code and register this idea to the Freevo subproject. You have time until tomorrow (Friday). I will accept you as mentor.
