Check out a copy of the rel-1-7 branch from svn (see
http://doc.freevo.org/Contributing
http://doc.freevo.org/SourceSVNInstallation).
Copy over your tree over the files in the checked out svn version.
svn diff /path/to/rel-1-7/branch > unified.diff

Should do it. Really you should be running/developing against the svn
version.

You should break the diff up to different functionality changes, I won't
accept a single patch that does things like update skins and mixers. Or a
path that reverts a fix. You should rename the Panorama modified skin if
it breaks the skin for 16:9 TVs.
