Great thank dischi. Someone already noticed the date handling changes in metadata and a change has been to cope with this. notifier is only used in 1.8. To allow freevo to run on hand-held devices there are two bits to do. I wonder if it is possible to incorporate the pygame event loop into notifier or may be another way to get mouse events. The idea, IIRC yours, of adding a mousebar plug-in, like the buttonbar, would allow "EXIT", "ENTER" and "DISPLAY" events to be generated is quite nice.
