I can't seem to reproduce this problem.

When you updated kaa, did you remove the build and the site-packages/kaa 
directories? I noticed a delete in the metadata sources, so a clean up 
is needed before installing.

Very easy to forget this, I make this mistake quite often.

Just to explain why, when a python module has been installed, it first 
gets copied to the build directory and then copied to site-packages. 
Afterwards, when a module has been deleted from svn, it is deleted from 
the src directory but not from build or site-packages and it will be 
copied again to the site-packages during an install.
