Yes, that's what I was thinking; then, beacon would really duplicate all 
necessary information.  OTOH, we all know this is ugly.  Filename columns + 
the overlay directory are the right solution.

Yes, but as Jason already pointed out, I was not talking about thumbnails, 
which are sort of "lossy duplicates".  I was talking about real duplicates of 
the cover images that could be used/displayed when the respective removable 
media is not available.
