It was in the thumbnailer because it uses dbus and dbus requires the glib mainloop. I wanted the python notifier for beacon main. Now that we have all the nice gobject-in-a-thread code I moved it to the main app to remove an additional level of indirection (kaa.rpc between the two parts).
