That is strange. What version of clutter and python-clutter do you have?
We just hook into clutter for drawing the GUI

One big bug is, that you can only play two items with the audio player
until it stops again. I understand why it is happening, but I need to
figure out how to fix it.

That is a known bug in kaa.popcorn right now. Mplayer opens a window
above Freevo and it is started without an input.conf. The keys should go
to Freevo but that isn't happening with the window on top. Using lirc
works, keyboard does not. This is one of the things we need to fix in
kaa.popcorn and it should go away once we add clutter support. Jason:
can you post the current code you have for this?
