I'm not an artist, I do not have know-how, nor time to create completely new artwork from scratch. All I have done is to reuse available resources (with minimum additions that do not exist in XBMC for example) and minimum changes to the Freevo code to achieve best result. The aim was twofold, firstly to revamp the existing Freevo 1.9 skin and see what the capabilities were and secondly to improve the looks of my box at home as I was using Geexbox skin for few years now and have grown bored of seeing it. The end result is quite OK, even if it looks like XBMC, this does not worry me though, I do not use nor plan to use XBMC as such, all I want is decent look for my box at home. I believe having such skin to complement final Freevo 1.9 release is a good idea and if you agree I can supply patch and files to Adam for inclusion. I do agree however that we need a unique look for Freevo 2.0. I'm wiling to help but as I have mentioned above, I cannot create the artwork from scratch, I can help to program and integrate if someone supplies artifacts. > >> There are some serious limitations of what 1.9.x can do, and nowhere >> near >> what XBMC is capable of, but the end result is IMHO pretty good and >> esthetically pleasing not to mention a big step forward comparing to the >> existing Freevo skins. > > I need two more weeks to finish the latest changes in kaa.candy.
