Test your hardware with knoppix. If it's all ok, then you probably won't have problem with other distros, if knoppix fails to see something...bad times ahead...

Subject: [Freevo-users] new here & some questions

Hi.

This is my first post to this mailing list. I hope that in the future I can
answer questions too.
I've installed freevo 1.5.2 on ubuntu. Everything works more or less fine, but
I'm planning to install it in a barebone (now I'm testing with my work box).
Of course, I will need tv-out to work properly. The barebone I'm thinking
about is a pundit-r by asus. As a graphical card, it uses an ati-rs300. Does
anybody have this card? Propietary drivers from ati are supposed to work, but
I'd like somebody to tell how well. My second question is about the key from
amazon for the coversearch plugin. I think it should work, because freevo
doesn't complain that the key is not found (it complained before copying the
key) but I can't see any cover. Is the key something like this
"SMDI3MDFID5MDF45MD8MSDF9" (it's not the real one)? I've put it in
~/.amazonkey. I expected to see the picture above the title of the cd (cddb
works) but it doesn't work. Maybe my cd's are not in amazon's database? I've
tried some, but no result.

Thanks
