I was going to suggest this as well, but he said that due to hardware issues he can't capture and playback at the same time anyway. I suppose he could edit the script to just load mplayer with "-ao null -framedrop" rather than exit, but I'm not sure how useful this would be in practice. Cheers, Jason.
