So the question is.. how much would it take? What's a ball park
figure?
At least you have to let me chew on it.
Personally I'm not sure. I can't do it as I don't have the time.
However it would be an interesting task to do as I've only recently
learned python and I'm learning the freevo code base atm.
then you've gotta have local clients connect
to that, as well as remote clients.
Not too sure what the above means though. It'll just initiate the
Video
Player based on some Pre-Set FXD files. (so, it will only be a client
connecting to a remote server. Why is there a remote client in that
equation?)
Well if you're simply running the server on a remote machine then it
becomes a lot easier, because you only need to run the client, So i
assume that you're talking internet TV style. I'm guessing you're
looking at more like a days work for that.
With a client app done I suppose somethings could become easier as a
matter of course, like adding the server, streaming TV and pausing
live TV using the streaming architecture.
I think it would be a nice addition to freevo to have it provide
streaming server as part of the system, and VLC is the only way to go
about this. I'll mull it over and maybe I'll see how it could be done
later in the week. Adding the client portion for the bounty and the
server in the future.
Regards,
Karl
