Alan,

perhaps my last message was too vague. You need to run the script you
found on either a remote.py file you have created or a freevo_config.py.
In both cases you need to fill in the RC_CMD variable which this script
then turns into the /etc/freevo/lircrc. You have to determine the
mapping of the commands freevo has to the buttons you have setup in your
/etc/lird.conf. a good example remote.py files can be found in the
directory /usr/local/freevo/rc_client/marantz-rc8000pm-aux2.py

I think you should setup at least these freevo commands: SELECT, EXIT,
PLAY, STOP, UP, DOWN, LEFT, and RIGHT.

I hope this time I was more clear. I know this part is confusing and not
well documented.
