i made some further tests and figured following out: on special videoframe rates everything works great but on others not
1. Movie which does not work:
Playing /data/video/The.Lord.Of.The.Rings.The.Two.Towers.DVDScr.XViD-ViTE/cd1/ttt-cd1-xvid.avi
VIDEO: [XVID] 640x272 24bpp 23.98 fps 966.0 kbps (117.9 kbyte/s)
Clip info:
Software: Nandub v1.0rc2
...
VO: [dxr3] Auto-selected TV norm by frame rate: PAL.
VO: [dxr3] Setting up for PAL/SECAM.
Is this right, that PAL/SECAM is choosen? isn't this ntsc?
2. Movies which does work great:
Playing /data/video/terminator_2_cd1_deutsch.avi AVI file format detected. VIDEO: [DIV3] 720x320 24bpp 25.00 fps 1337.7 kbps (163.3 kbyte/s) .... VO: [dxr3] Auto-selected TV norm by frame rate: PAL. VO: [dxr3] Setting up for PAL/SECAM. PAL/SECAM seems to be the right setting.
unfortunatly i can't visit ntsc output of my dxr3 because my tv does not support it.
i will try this with another tv to check if case 1 works fine if i force norm=5

Do you have the same think with any movie ? Did you try the cache option of Mplayer ( -cache 10000 ) to add 10000 KB for instance ?
I'am using a dxr3 with Mplayer (the previous one), and it works well.

Hi,
i have following problem with playing divx with my dxr3 with mplayer v0.90rc4. i have already read some threads about dxr3 and mplayer and tried -vo dxr3:norm=1 but nothing worked.
If i play a some divx everything is fine for about 10seconds then sunddenly these "freezes/glitches" appear about every second. if i hit pause and start again after the freezes started all works fine again for about 10s. So i think its no pal/ntsc problem because then there should always be those freezes. Perhaps my cpu is the problem i only have a pIII800mhz but why does it work for 10s then?
any ideas?
cu, rudi
