I used to run with a DXR3 (HW+), but skipped that due to the overhead
needed to view DivX movies. The picture quality was great.

I now use a GeForce4 MX440SE 64MB, and the picture is very good. As
sharp and clear as can be expected on a 4year old 28" widescreen. It may
be that the deepness in the colors is not quite like the dxr3, but have
not yet confirmed by A/B tests. On the other hand the dxr3 was perhaps a
bit darker, so could be just a matter of briteness.

RedHat 8.0 recoginsed the card upon booting, but set the driver to vesa.
However tv-out worked even under x by just plugging the cable and
starting the computer. nVidia's drivers also installed nicely. Figuring
out XFconfig settings was the only thing that took a while.

My GF4 was one of the cheapest on the market with a 52euro retail
pricetag. Its "made" by "Shadow" (the brand is just a sticker added on
the box...)
On the technical side it may be worth mentioning that it used nvidia's
internal tv encoder. The only negative I have found out so far is the
[EMAIL PROTECTED]&ing fan on the card. Its really loud and also wobbled from the
beginning!

To sum it up, I think the card was well worth its price.
