I posted a message a few days ago about 0.5.11 and above changing the format. If you upgrade to 0.5.11 you have to regenerate your TV_CHANNELS in your configuration file and re-run the 'makelogos.py' script.
The xmltv developers made a pretty large change in the format and did it in a minor release which is a little annoying...
