Somewhat, yes. The remote I use is the one from my HiFi amplifier, which
is able to control several devices, and my TV happens to react to the
"aux1" channel </my-life>. And AFAIK, the creator of Freevo is using a
universal remote with Freevo, so there is no reason why it should not
work. The only thing is that it might be possible that a universal
remote doesn't cover all functions of the TV's original remote...
