I am currently speccing up a Freevo system as a set-top box / VCR replacement.
Looking at the up and coming features planned, there is live TV Pause (time shifting)
Given that my TV card won't have any hardware MPEG en/decoders on board, what speed system should I be looking at.
This is quite an important question as I am looking to put together a system with *no* fans (similar to the hush mini itx pc http://www.hushtechnologies.net/hushmini.htm). So the fastest PC you can get in a system with this sort of spec is 1GHz, if this is too slow I'll reconsider Shuttle XPC PCs again.
