Thanks all, I'm now able to use MEncoder.
It was as someone suggested, the runtime included in 1.3.2 requires the
'tv://' flag, I just got another MPlayer RPM and it doesn't require the
tv:// flag.
So now that that's been solved I can record video fine but I'm having
problems with sound.
Mencoder gives me an error saying can't open /dev/dsp1 or /dev/dsp2 when
I use either for the adevice=/dev/dsp? flag
I'm not sure where to begin, any advice or help would be appreciated!!
I'm using RH8.0 (Yamaha 724 SND card) which uses OSS by default (I
think) I've tried to install ALSA but no luck I have the same error. I'm
thinking of installing nvrec so I can use btaudio, but there are too
many dependencies, I wish there was an RPM.
Indecently Mencoder works fine when adevice=/dev/dsp0, but that's my
speaker out line right? Not the line in jack from my tv capture card.
I can watch TV fine, why is it this hard just to record the darn thing?
So if anyone has any ideas how to start configuring the sound I'd like
to hear 'em
