I'm running Freevo on a Debian Sarge machine (400MHz Celeron, 192MB mem, Matrox
Marvel G200 card using mga/mga_vid) and everything works great. DivX movies and
DVD movies play just fine, though an actual DVD menu interpreter would be great
(Xine and Xine-UI are installed, which I thought would enable this, but there
you go) :)

Anyway, my problem appears when I try to watch interlaced DVDs, specifically
Babylon 5 s1 and s2. I know the tearing is caused by the interlaced video, but
the real problem is that the playback is a lot slower than non-interlaced
(movie) playback, so much so that the audio drifts ahead of the video. Is this
simply because my processor isn't fast enough or is there something I can do?

Oh, and BTW, how do you enable OSD in MPlayer and Xine? FreeType is installed,
but MPlayer seems to have trouble finding a font. Don't know how it works in
Xine.
