The dxr3 is acutally a re-badge of the realmagic Hollywood Plus card, so if by realmagic dvd decoder you mean the Hollywood plus card then they are one is the same thing. Firslty, you will need to get the card working via information available at dxr3.sourceforge.org... Then follow the instructions for the dxr3 on the wiki.
If I were you I would see if i was happy with the output I got from the tnt2, the dxr3 output is fantastic but it does have issues with certain file types, whehn I use mine for raw dv files sync is horrible..
