Double-check your DIR_MOVIES and DIR_AUDIO settings in local_conf.py. Those define where Freevo locates these files. By default, they both point to some test data in freevo/testfiles. The test data should not be empty, though, so it might be something else (permissions? keyword expansion, like for a home directory?). Are you getting any error messages?
