Well, it's a bare-bones SFF PC, came with motherboard & case together, already 
with front IR - so I'm hoping the IR hardware suits the MB. ^_^

Thing is, I'd really like it to be built in - and I'd rather avoid an external 
plug running a cable back inside the case. I don't think this board has an 
internal Serial connection, since it is SFF...

Yep. I tried Debian packages - but now I've just got the whole source, since 
that'll have the most up to date and comprehensive stuff.

I keep coming back to WHICH driver on WHICH port tho... From what I'm reading, 
lirc_serial is the most likely one, if I can get the settings right...
