Actually dd works perfectly well once I play the dvd with mplayer to unlock it. :) But actually this is exactly what I'm asking about xine, and how it can be used with Freevo. I know I can do that with mplayer (and I do it often), but xine seems to be the thing Freevo is using for DVDs now. Unfortunately there seems to be two obstacles: making xine read a DVD image (which I could overcome with a hack by mapping the file to a loop device and telling xine to use /dev/loop#, but I can't find a command line argument to do that); and making Freevo use xine for .dvd files (which is the extension I use on my dvd images) instead of mplayer. I've no problem ripping apart source code and hacking it to do what I want, but I thought I'd ask here to see if there was an easier way first. :) Thanks, Jason. ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Freevo-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freevo-users
