Hi, in short my setup:
i have a G450 and i'm trying to get freevo dfbmga up and running. I try to use Kernel 2.4.22. I have patched the kernel with the fusion patch from the directfb sources, got the SDL CVS Version and so on... I got everthing compile fine, but... every time i run 'dfbinfo' the system freezes. The console and the ssh daemon don't talk to me anymore. But a ping still works. When i try this as an unprivileged user i get errors with no permisson on /dev/fusion/0. When i open the permissions to that device the system freezes again like as root, but with a new error that the core system (of directfb) can't be initialized. This is why i think thats the fusions fault. Is the fusion support really needed? Or is this a directfb list question?
