Make sure you are setting the recording input right. By default it is set to 
micin. You have to change it to linein. You can do that with a '-i R' or '-l 
R' in addition to turning on audio with a '-i 80' or '-l 80'

You cannot combine the two into one. so you must do something like
'aumix -i 80 -i R' or use -l not sure which one.
