I finally got something to work over the weekend... One of my main problems
was that I was using xawtv to test the card but had a spelling mistake in
the .xawtv config file. This was causing xawtv to default to a state that
did not work for me. Now that I got that working I am going to work on
getting mplayer setup correctly.. Is there a generally recommended
configuration for mplayer when using it with freevo?

The marvel driver is for MJPEG hw compression on the matrox marvel G400tv it
is not used for tv out.

Since you can view your desktop on the tv it sounds as if the basic setup is
okay.

what do you have in your freevo conf? Is freevo showing on your monitor?
