hi pavel,
maybe you could start external apps via the "commands" plugin? it's included by default, you just have to activate it, but i don't know if it will work!

cheers

Betreff: [Freevo-users] Having new entries in main menu

Hi,

sorry to ask, but I have went through all the descriptions and forum post still I did not find the answer.
I am currently building my CarPC based on Linux (Slackware distro - customized kernel, scripts...). It should ideally have LiveTV, LiveFM radio, audio CD plabyack, DVD/DivX/MP3/OGG. And I want to have clear keyboard controlled interface. For these purposes, Freevo seems to be good solution. However, I would also like to launch GPS software and possibly ODB-II interface software and web browser from main menu.

Does Freevo offer possibility to use custom skin (i know it can use custom skins) that could also include buttons launching external applications?

Did anyone created CarPC style skin for Freevo?
Is there a plugin for FM radio (not internet broadcast)?
Thank you for your answers good fellows,

Pavel
