hello,

i have a slightly off-topic question. maybe somebody knows the problem.

i have have freevo running on my linux machine using a matrix g400 and directfb for tv output (it's a panasonic 100hz 4:3 tv) which basically works fine! i have the s-video cable from the matrox tv-output connected into a scart-adapter (the ones with s-video and cinch ) which is plugged into my tv. the freevo/matrox picture coming from the computer is excellent and there is nothing to say about it. however, as long as the cable from the freevo-box is plugged into the tv, the tuner signal has a vertical line which brightens the picture where the line is which rolls from right to left. this rolling line disappears as soon as i unplug the cable from the linux machine. it really must be somehow related to the signal from the linux machine. the tuner picture is really fine even if vcr and/or my dvd player are plugged into the tv. this strange thing really only happens when the matrox tv-out is connected to the tv.

any ideas? thanks!
