Uhm, nearly, 99 points ...

You have to put a file .password into the directory you want to protect
(afaik you can't protect a single file, just directories) and put you
password in clear text into that .password file.

I forgot how to password protect a directory in freevo. I'm using 1.4 rc3.
Do I just throw in a file in directory called .htpasswd and put in password?
