I'm using Logitech Z-640 speakers with freevo. Right now I just have them plugged into onboard sound on motherboard with single green connecter. Speakers also have orange and black plugs, but I have to have 6channel sound card to use these I think. I also happen to have soundblaster Live card which will work with all 3plugs.
However, I don't know if Linux has drivers for this. Even though most divx movies and mp3 aren't dolby 5.1, just hearing speakers in rear seems like it would be nice even if it isn't 5.1. With onboard sound, using one connecter, all 5 speakers are playing using 5.1 simulator button but rear speakers are very faint. I'm wondering if anyone else has played around with speakers much on Linux or Freevo.
