I just bought a Startech vga to tv converter. It is designed to work with windows of course, and it works perfectly on windows. However, on XFree86 4.3, slackware 9.1, using the nvidia drivers for TNT2, I get a nice full screen display, however it flickers way too much. I haven't been able to find the right modeline setting to eliminate the flicker on the TV.
