Alas, this plugin actually is broken. I haven't looked at it but tried to
get it to work, which didn't happen. However, it ought to be possible to get
it to work (if one knows a bit python perhaps :)

Check out the mail archives, IIRC there was some discussion about this one
or two months ago.

I was wondering if anybody knew how to make freevo use xmms fro CD
audio.
I put in the following line in my local_config.py:

MUSICPLAYER = "XMMS" 

I'm assuming that this makes freevo play music files (ogg,mp3's, etc).
I
don't have any music files on my system right now to confirm this,
however,
but I know that at the very least freevo still uses mplayer for cd
audio.

I really didn't want to have to write a plugin for this, so I'm hoping
somebody
knows how to make it happen (I really want my nifty keen visual xmms
plugin to 
run whenever I play a CD).
