Hi guys... I've been looking at the Sourceforge site for a while and have read through the pages, but I was wondering if I could get a FAQ-type version of what exactly Freevo really is. Can Freevo be a Tivo replacement? What is the ultimate vision of Freevo?
Is there a FAQ that I missed that someone can point me to? Here's my story... I currently don't own a TV and I don't watch TV because I basically don't enjoy it. I do enjoy some TV though, namely NBA basketball. A few guys at work have Tivos and they completely love it. They say things like "I would never watch TV unless it was on a Tivo.." etc. etc. So I figured I should give it a try, that is, get cable, get a Tivo, get the NBA League Pass. I could record tons of games, watch them on my computer at my leisure, and enjoy TV the way that I want to watch it. So I think I'd like a Tivo and I'm also a pretty big Linux geek so...would Freevo be a match for me?
