Hey,

I'm running Freevo 1.4.1 on Gentoo. I store my video/music files on a Windows XP machine. The linux machine has three samba mounts to the video/music that are setup in my /etc/fstab file.

My mounts are
   /mnt/fvideo1
   /mnt/fvideo2
   /mnt/fmusic

After viewing one movie using mplayer through freevo, freevo becomes very unresponsive. If I open a ssh session to the machine and browse /mnt/fvideos1, I can see the directory listings no problems. But if i try to browse /mnt/fvideos2 or /mnt/fmusic the console pauses and takes a while to enter the directory. If I 'ls' in the directory i get 'ls: .: Input/output error'. In this example I was previously viewing a video from /mnt/fvideos1.

Is it possible that /mnt/fvideos2 and fmusic have timedout?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Versions

Kernel 2.6.3-rc2 (2.6.1 has the same problem.
Samba 3.0.1
Python 2.3.3
mmpython 0.3
mplayer 1.0_pre3
