mms is just the protocol used for transport of windows media or other streams, afaik. and this is used in this example webradio fxd:
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/*checkout*/freevo/freevo/share/fxd/webradio.fxd?content-type=text%2Fplain&rev=1.1

and streames video should work the same way as in another example available in cvs:
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/*checkout*/freevo/freevo/share/fxd/examples/german-news.fxd?content-type=text%2Fplain&rev=1.1

only difference is the audio/video tag

Thanks for the fast anwer.

Is this supposed to work with 1.4.1?
I tried to make a .fxd file for a video stream modeled after the webradio example in cvs.
Perhaps I did something wrong, I got an error from videoItem.py, telling me:
AttributeError: "NoneType" object has no attribute 'current_item'.

I can't get the webradio.fxd or the german-news.fxd to work either (but no error here).
Have I missed something? I've copied the files to directories accessable by freevo.
Is there anything that has to be done in local_config.py as well?

i just copied the webradio file into my music directory and the german-news to the movies and it worked with cvs (nothing to do in local_config). i never tried it with 141 and i dont have that version installed anymore, sorry.
