I'm planning to build a PVR box incrementally-- and I am wondering if it is possible/advisable to have a setup where I am only using the Recording Server and the Web Server, without the X-Windows,Framebuffer, or Playback stuff.
Once I have a working machine with TV-input and a network connection (but before it is ready for the home theater), I'd like to be able to simply schedule recording via the web interface, and access recordings from other machines on the network.
Is there any functionality that can't be accessed via the web, that would make the scenario above not feasible?
